May & June 2007 Chapter Meeting Highlights: Chapter Business/Highlights: We had to improvise a bit at our meeting in May. Upon our arrival at UTD, we learned that the library was closed and our normal meeting location was not available. We had two options, meet outdoors or use the student union. We opted to use the student union. School was out and the union was empty. Our meeting went well with the prime focus on Show and Tell, Ugly Covers. It was good for some laughs and it was interesting to see the variety of covers that each menber brought to show. Our June meeting(our annual BBQ picnic) was held on June 16th at Cliff Way's home. We had a nice time-spouses were also in attendance and very little conversation touched on stamps or first days. Items of Interest/Upcoming Events: There will not be any meetings in July or August. Our next meeting is scheduled for September 8th - Saturday morning at the UTD Library. Loretta Starr will be the presenter and I expect her topic to be Christmas FDC's. Have a nice summer Regards, |
